Tourist licences

Taking into account the situation of increasing tourism in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (M-V), the legislature decided to allow fishing for "non-fishermen" by introducing a temporary fishing permit. For the acquisition of a "regular" fishing area, a successful fishing exam is always required, which requires a considerable amount of expertise. The time required for the examination is not to be demanded by a "holiday-seeker".

In order to provide the fishery and animal welfare rights with a minimum knowledge which is intended to ensure compliance with the provisions, applicants with a tourist fishery will also receive a brochure with illustrations of the fishing rights as well as the fish handling of the fish and caught fish. With the application for the acquisition of a tourist fishery there is the obligation to acquire the necessary knowledge on fishing and animal protection from the brochure.

The temporary fishing vessel is granted to the applicant for a period of up to 28 days and may be extended (also several times) upon submission of the document of the first exhibition in the calendar year. Applicants can be citizens of other states, other federal states and also citizens from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The limited fishing license is granted as a tourist fishing license exclusively by the local authorities (address list) and their affiliated bodies. The local authorities may have included other places (tourist offices, spa administrations, etc.) in the output of the documents.

Competent authorities: Citizens from other countries or other federal states can purchase the temporary fishery for each local authority in M-V. Citizens of the country M-V must submit the application to the local authority responsible for their place of residence.

The following shall be submitted to the Regulatory Authority for the temporary fishery:

Written request for the tourist fishery (form)

Declaration on the acquisition of knowledge and violations of rules on the protection of fish, animal welfare, environmental protection and water legislation (form s.o.) identity card

Where the applicant requests the postal dispatch of the fishing vessel, the application must be sent to the Authority at least 21 days before the "fishing date"; A copy of the personal document must accompany the application documents. The regulating authorities send in i.d.R. , so that the document can be acquired at the right time before the holiday (if necessary telephone consultation).

The issue of the temporary fishing vessel as well as the renewal certificate is subject to a fee. The fee for the initial exhibition is 24, - Euro, for the extension in the calendar year of the first exhibition of the temporary fishing area 13, - Euro [§ 2 Abs. 4 FSchVO]. The fee for the first exhibition has already been paid for the fishing license and the information brochure, for which a fishing license and information brochure is not issued.

The temporary fishery / tourist fishery M-V is exclusively valid on the territory (inland waters and coastal waters) of the state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, it can not be exchanged in the other federal states for a regular fishery.
